We wish you all the best of luck in the judging process, and we’d like to thank all of our authors and submitters for trusting us with their work for our inaugural issue, and for making it such a success through the quality and magic of their art.

This was a difficult decision, as our first issue brimmed over with terrific works from anthropoids we love and admire. We invite you to review Issue 1: Fauna, to get re-acquainted with these beautiful pieces of writing, or, to find new ones to love!

And we are also taking submissions for Issue 2, in several mini-folios as well as general submissions, on the theme of “FOLK.” Our guest editors and staff are reading all submissions with eagerness and care. Share with us what “folk” means to you, surprise us with your interpretations, send us your best work–we can’t wait to read it.

We’ll be presenting lots of goodies and new writing through the collective and blog over the coming months, so stay tuned!

Keep reading, writing, and human-ing, friends.

We are, all of us, anthropoids.
