written by Tem Arbora

Tem Arbora has lived in the Philippines, Taiwan, Canada, and Italy, making her semi-illiterate in several languages. She moved to Hong Kong because of Wong Kar Wai, decided to stay because of Johnnie To, and has yet to live in an apartment that isn't reputed to be haunted by ghosts. Tem is currently at work on a novel about a former nouveau riche young woman's haphazard adventures in postcolonial Hong Kong. Set adrift among socialites, minor celebrities and expats, our heroine tries to figure out her conflicted identity (and the sexy local triad boy) while fending off starvation with peanut butter, investment banker dinner invitations, and a surprisingly affordable painkiller addiction.
