Kenzie Allen is a descendant of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin. She graduated from the Helen Zell Writers' Program at the University of Michigan where she received Hopwood Awards in poetry and non-fiction and completed a Zell postgraduate fellowship. Her work can be found or is forthcoming in Black Warrior Review, The Iowa Review, Narrative Magazine, Boston Review, Apogee, SOFTBLOW, Best New Poets 2016, and elsewhere. She likes cacti, kitties, and Norman Dubie. She can also be found blogging and on the Twitter as cerena.
